Cancellations

Please understand that last-minute cancellations and no-shows impact our groomers’ ability to earn a living.  For this reason, we must insist that cancellations be made 24 hours prior to the time of the appointment so we can fill your empty time slot with another grooming appointment.  In the event you fail to cancel in a timely manner, a $25 late charge will be added to your next grooming appointment. Clients who arrive more than 15 minutes past their appointment time will be rescheduled and charged the $25 late charge.

Grooming FAQ

Nope!  Nail trims are a walk-in service.

Your pet will receive a bath with high quality shampoo, conditioner, nail grinding, ear plucking/cleaning, blow dry, teeth foaming/cleanser and haircut of your choice, complete with perfume and an accessory.  Anal glad expressing can only be performed after consulting with your veterinarian.

Price depends on your pets breed, size, style of haircut, condition, and temperament. Feel free to call for a rough estimate.  However, we won't be able to give you a final number until we've seen your dog in person.

Yes, we operate by appointment to allow your pet to receive one-on-one time with our groomer from start to finish

Yes, we ask that you do because your appointment is specifically blocked off for your pet and if they are more than 10 minutes late it will put our other clients’ appointments behind for the day. We ask you give us a call as far in advance as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule so we can replace your pet’s appointment with another grooming client.

Of course! Our groomer does stay busy though so we ask you try to set this up in advance.

This depends on the breed, size, style of haircut, condition and temperament of your pet. Appointments can usually be done in 2 - 3 hours.  However, larger breeds like doodles may take longer.  We can give you an approximate time that your pet will be finished at drop off.

Yes, there will be an additional price for matting depending on how extreme the matting is. It can take extra time to safely comb and brush out matting or clip them off if the coat is not salvageable. If your pet does not prefer to have them brushed out, or the coat is not salvageable, we will call you to let you know your pet must be clipped shorter. Our goal is to provide a calm, gentle experience for your pet and to do what is in their best interest.
Pets with fleas will automatically receive a soak in our flea shampoo and an additional $10 on their grooming price. Fear not, our flea shampoo is high quality and will not strip your pet of their natural oils while also soothing the itch. Please know this is not a preventative measure  and we recommend you talk to your veterinarian about a monthly flea preventative and de-infestation of your pet’s living quarters. If you are aware your pet has these pesky critters, please let us know when making your appointment.

We require rabies and distemper vaccines for our grooming clients although we require rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines for our boarding and daycare clients because they will have more interaction with other dogs.  Please bring us a copy of your pet’s current vaccine records before dropping off.

Grooming will be a routine part of your puppy’s entire life and we strive to make it a pleasurable experience. We recommend starting simple with a bath, nail clipping, ear cleaning, blow dry, and trimming of the face, feet, and sanitary areas for a couple of visits to get your puppy accustomed to grooming.  Our groomer can also give you some tips to work with your pet at home between grooming visits.
You can start your puppy with grooming appointments as early as you and your veterinarian feel is right as your pup will have to get a couple of rounds of puppy vaccines.

The only dryer with a heater will be our hand dryer.  Our cage dryers do not use heat.

Of course! We want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet with us. Just ask and you can come on in to check it out.  However, we do not allow clients to stay in the grooming room during grooming appointments as that would be distracting for our groomers and pups.

Yes! We have clients who prefer this. Our groomer has a soft spot for special needs pets, seniors, pets with a history of seizures, blind, deaf, etc. Please let us know when making your appointment if you’d like to wait or have your pet not be crated so we can tailor your pets’ appointment to his or her needs. We just ask you wait in the lobby so our groomer can work in a safe and efficient manner.

We do not sedate grooming clients. However, if your veterinarian has provided a prescription for your pet, you may administer that medicine to your pet prior to grooming.  Please make us aware of this special circumstance when making the appointment.  If we feel your pet is at risk of harming themselves or the groomer during the appointment we will suggest some other options for grooming your pet. Our groomer keeps your pet’s safety first and will cease the grooming appointment if she feels it is too stressful for your pet.

Yes! We like to have some fun around here! We offer temporary non-toxic color, nail painting, nail art, temporary color tattoos and feather extensions. There is an additional charge for these services. Price depends on what is performed. We will not perform any color on pets that have a history of skin or coat problems. Please let us know if you are interested in any creative services when making your appointment.
(Pssst – our groomers toy poodle is often spotted sporting some color and fun styles around here 😉

This depends on your pet’s coat. More porous hair will hold color longer as opposed to less porous hair (think poodle coat vs. that of a laborador). Temporary color will fade on its own or wash out within 1-3 washes depending on your pet’s coat type.

Yes, we have a wide variety of shampoos that we love. We do suggest you work with your veterinarian to treat any skin or coat issues your pet may have, but our lovely products can provide your pet some temporary relief along with regular grooming. Feel free to ask us about our selection.
